— Who We Are

A Movement Built on Science, Compassion, and Accountability

We are parents, researchers, attorneys, mental health professionals, and concerned citizens united by one conviction: children deserve better than the system currently provides.

— Our Story

Why We Exist

The National Family Rights Movement was founded because too many children were falling through the cracks of a system never designed with their developmental needs in mind.

We saw families devastated — not always by bad actors, but by a system with outdated standards, insufficient training, and no meaningful accountability for long-term child outcomes.

We are not anti-court. We are not anti-government. We are pro-child. And we believe that reforming broken systems is one of the most patriotic, compassionate acts a citizen can undertake.

Our Mission

To protect the emotional, psychological, and developmental wellbeing of children by advancing evidence-based reform in family court and child welfare systems across the United States.

Our Vision

A nation where every child's bond with safe, loving parents is treated as a fundamental developmental right — and where every system that touches families operates with transparency, accountability, and a child-centered framework.

Our Standard

We hold ourselves to the same standard we demand of institutions: evidence-based, transparent, accountable, and always oriented toward what the science says is best for children.

— What Guides Us

Our Core Values

Value 01

Child-Centered Always

Every position we take, every reform we advocate, every partnership we build is filtered through one question: is this what is best for the child?

Value 02

Evidence-Informed

We follow the research wherever it leads. Attachment science, developmental neuroscience, and longitudinal outcome studies guide our policy work.

Value 03

Bipartisan

Children are not a partisan cause. We work with anyone — left, right, or center — willing to advance reform grounded in evidence and accountability.

Value 04

Accountable

We hold ourselves to the same transparency we demand of public institutions. Our work is open, our claims are sourced, our results are measurable.

Value 05

Compassionate

Behind every case is a family in pain. We do not demonize parents, professionals, or institutions — we focus on the systems that fail them all.

Value 06

Future-Focused

Our metric is not what happens in court today, but how the children involved are doing five, ten, and twenty years from now.
